AVOID GATORADE AND THE LIKE.
DON'T EAT A HEAVY MEAL WITHIN ONE HOUR OF ENTERING THE SAUNA. IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED A LIGHT SNACK BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T HAD ANYTHING TO EAT, THAT'S OK. JUST AVOID FILLING UP.
NO SKIN LOTIONS
IT IS BEST NOT TO USE LOTIONS OR OILS BEFORE OR DURING YOUR SAUNA SESSION AS THIS WILL INHIBIT SWEATING AND CLOG PORES. WE PROVIDE A FACE CLOTH TO PREVENT SWEAT AND MAKE-UP/LOTION FROM GETTING INTO YOUR EYES, BUT IF POSSIBLE, WASH YOUR FACE BEFORE YOU GET IN.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU GO "AU NATURALE" SO THAT THE HEAT AND RAYS CAN EFFECTIVELY ABSORB INTO THE SKIN. THE SAUNA IS IN A PRIVATE ROOM WITH A LOCKED DOOR. WE PROVIDE TOWELS AND FACE CLOTHS.
HOW HOT DOES IT GET AND HOW LONG SHOULD I GO IN FOR?
OUR INFRARED SAUNA REACHES ABOUT 140 DEGREES (YOU CAN LOWER THE TEMP AT ANYTIME). WE RECOMMEND YOU START WITH 30 MINUTES AND SEE HOW YOU DO. YOU CAN STAY IN UP TO 45 MINUTES.
WHAT IS A FAR INFRARED SAUNA?
A FAR INFRARED SAUNA IS A SAUNA THAT EMPLOYS FAR INFRARED LIGHT TO HEAT YOU UP INSTEAD OF USING CONDUCTION (THROUGH THE HOT WOOD) OR THROUGH CONVECTION (HEATED AIR OR STEAM.) INFRARED LIGHT IS PART OF THE SUN'S INVISIBLE SPECTRUM. INFRA-RED MEANS "BELOW-RED" JUST LIKE ULTRAVIOLET (UV) MEANS "ABOVE-VIOLET." HOW IS AN INFRARED SAUNA DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SAUNAS?
